Marc Harrold's career in journalism led him to discover photography. In 1980 he participated in the creation of the Filtra-Presse agency. In the nineties his perspective changed, and photography and advertising became his main professional focus. He started to work with many advertising agencies including: Leo Burnett, Publicis Estrella, Grey, EURORSCG, 46°nord. At the same time he continued to develop his personal artistic work that is now such a crucial part of his life. The artist's series of photos are taken at different places and times of the day, sometimes randomly to emphasize the interaction between light and shade, or the way time affects the beauty of the monent. As such, predictable as well as unlikely encounters draw the invisible from the visible. His photos reflect the fickle nature of humans and objects. Signs wend their way through light and shadow. Aesthetics are important to the artist, as a way of depiciting his thoughts and feelings. His work is not intended to convey any specific message, but rather shares emotions that are magnified by the experiences of the spectator. GROUP EXHIBITIONS 2011
