INA SCHOLTE-ALBERS
Born Zwolle, Netherlands 1958. Ina studied at The Academy of Art, Leeuwarden, graduating in 1985. Ina now lives and works in the South of France. She has exhibited widely in the Netherlands, Switzerland, France and the UK. Before becoming a professional artist she was involved in many different artistic careers. She is now concentrating on her painting and exhibits in England, Holland, Switzerland and France.
Over the years Ina has developed her style of painting as she has changed her lifestyle. The enormous variations in her paintings are impressions of her personal fantasy and realities. The unexpected combinations are assembled in new concepts to show her ideas around a subject. Almost always the human body is the start of a new idea. The complexity of the human form, the expression of attitudes gives an endless source of inspiration. The spots and paint stokes are layered upon layer which gives a certain texture on the material very often independent of the image. The experiment in forms, the colours and the materials are sometimes integrated with collage. This is all chosen for the expression of the subject in every painting.
